Our Staff:

Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much!

While Clarendon Mews Care Home is all about our residents, our staff are the driving force of the home. Warmth, devotion and affection are some of the traits we look for when carefully hand picking our team. All staff are thoroughly screened to ensure they fulfil the statutory requirements for providing care to your loved ones. From the carers to the cooks to the domestic team, our home would not be what it is today without the dedicated members of staff who make up the Clarendon Mews family!

At Clarendon Mews we are constantly investing in training our team of 60 staff who have combined experience of over 300 years and equipping them with the right skill set to administer the utmost level of care for your loved one. All of our carers are currently working towards their Level 2 & 3 qualifications and senior carers working towards Level 5 & 7 qualifications. Additionally, we provide in-house training and refreshment courses conducted by our Registered Manager, Chipo Matsyavi.

Some of the notable achievements by our staff in 2017 include:

  • Chipo Matsvayi (Registered Care Home Manager) - Runner up for Dementia Carer award across Leicester and Leicestershire.
  • Aleshia Teece (Deputy Care Home Manager) - Winner of Palliative Carer award across Leicester and Leicestershire.
  • Emmie Allen (Carer) - Runner up for Young Carer award across Leicester and Leicestershire.

Please see excerpt from the latest CQC report about our staff:

“Staff had a good understanding as to the needs of people and told us how they supported people in making day to day decisions about their lives. We observed staff supporting people in a way that respected their privacy and dignity”.

The Management:
